CHARACTERS

from various
campaigns
Nareen, the hero of the current Belkis campaign. Originally a slave serving Lord Korvus, she fled after he had another slave killed. She took with her an ancient bracelet, forged by the Obsidians, a long dead race, to deal with a spirit of destruction that had been unleashed in an ancient war with the lloruk. The spirit was chained, but is breaking free. The bracelet is part of the key to defeating the spirit. Nareen
Talgor
With her is Talgor, a northern barbarian, who had travelled to the Empire seeking the killers of his sister. He has thrown in his lot with Nareen, whom he now rather views as a foster-sister. At present he is aiding her to deal with the spirit, but his desire for vengeance on the mercenaries and slavers known as the Scarlets is undimmed.

Annez

Annez

An ex-mercenary , who gave up her old career because she disliked the activities of her commander. Now working for a mysterious woman called Vivienne, whom she only ever talks to by magic, and has never met, she and her party carry out a range of tasks in the cantons of Elason. Annez has a very clear moral approach, but is quite willing to break rules to gain her ends. She would not claim to be violent, preferring to solve problems by diplomacy - but she has a mean swordarm if it comes to it.

Her final foray was a struggle with the drow in the cavernlands. She freed the city of Gli'asthle from drow control, and is now captain of the guard there, seeking to prevent the drow from recapturing it.

Garron, the mage

Garron Grellst

Garron was a commercial mage in Mhorann, but an argument with a noble gave him good reason to flee across the mountains to Elason, where he fell in with Annez. He discovered he had an idealistic streak, and represents the most altruistic member of the party. He is also a sucker for a pretty face (Janet claims he has the skill 'being seduced'), though he is now married, and is besotted with his wife. He is extremely powerful, living in Elason and providing trading assistance to Annez in Gli'asthe.

Sister Mirayn

Mirayn's religious order were all killed during a raid by orcs. She had nowhere to go, and ended up travelling with Annez. She is quiet, watching and observing, and often spots details and information that solve issues facing the group. She too now lives in Gli'asthe, as priestess of the Llyrian temple there.

Mirayn, the priestess

Andrus and small squeaky friend

ANDRUS MELDRAGOR One of Peter's PCs, from the Zassall campaign that Janet ran. A capable warrior; but also a dreamer and idealist who decided that he, on his own, would defeat the evil being Kalish who wants to become a God.
Andrus and small squeaky friend. RETHAN MELDRAGOR
Andrus's younger sister, and another warrior. She saw herself as the realist of the family, taking a sensible view of the world. Andrus says she's a cynic. Another of Peter's PCs. I could describe her as cute, but she'd thump me.

Rethan: cute and vicious.

Rethan: cute and vicious.

Julia: in serious danger from critical hit on the sliderule DR JULIA COLBURN
A lady scientist in the Parallax campaign. One of Janet's characters, originally designed for a 60s-set "Avengers/Man from UNCLE" style spy campaign, she was flung into a paratime multiverse-trotting game, and had to find her feet in a multitude of strange worlds.
Julia, in serious danger from a critical hit on the sliderule.

ARDEN SHELDRAKE
A streetrat from Zeidenberg, one of Janet's PCs in the Halvay campaign that Peter GMed. As well as typical skills for a street-rat, she developed the use of magic, having received training from an outlawed mage who found himself on the streets.
Arden: small, cute, and dangerous. Arden: another small, cute and dangerous type.
Garth: honest, upright, and stupid.
GARTH
Arden's sidekick, a minor nobleman from Mhorann who got marooned in Halvay.. A devout Tanithist priest who was horrified about what was going on in the region. Originally somewhat hidebound and stuffy, experience taught him that things are not always black and white.
Garth: honest, upright, and stupid.
